Documenting my journey building the Waldorf 48 with Porter Davis in Gisborne

Lock-Up Invoice received, house not at Lock-Up

Anyone who is building with PD will confirm that their communication skills are lacking but not replicated in their accounts department, with invoices arriving swiftly (sometimes mere seconds after a stage is complete).

So far we have received 2 of the 3 stage invoices "before" they have officially been "completed". The most recent was our "Lock-Up" stage.

After receiving the email on Friday, which stated that our SS had informed accounts that our home was at "Lock-Up" I thought it best to pay the house a visit before sending the disbursement request to my bank. Lucky I did because when I arrived I found that the house was not at Lock-Up as defined by our HIA contract.

For those building or looking to build... be sure to check your contract before releasing funds.

External cladding was missing to the first floor and our garage internal door nowhere to be seen.
