Windows Update

For the viewers following along from home, you will recall our love for our custom window in our Master Bedroom? The one which captures the trees in the reserve behind us? The same window we fought for, even choosing to relocate our WIR for?

Well, a few weeks ago we received a call from our SS informing us the bottom of the window is in the way of the extensions roof pitch (only by a few CM's) and would need to be swapped out (at no cost to us) for one slightly smaller in height (width stays the same).

What a gun! Whilst not happy to be losing some space, happy that our SS picked it up (as advised by the framer who tried to install the trusses and found the window would be in the way of the roof's installation.

We also noticed at the same time that the front window in our rumpus room looked small, so upon measuring it we found it was 1800 wide, not 2400 wide as per plans (which is standard for our house type). Again, our SS ordered the correct window and committed to it being delivered by 16/04. My initial fear was that this would delay the hebel, I later realised that this would not impact our build timeline as the front first floor is linear boards, not hebel... YAY!

Images below showing the difference between original master bedroom window and the "shorter" one.
